Are any of these thoughts holding you back from booking a session?

I can’t afford photos right now

I get it! Photos are a big investment, and money is on everyone's mind. Did you know that you can have a timeless heirloom that you and your family will treasure for a lifetime for less than what you might spend on your daily coffee in a year?

I just want my photos on a disk

Disks and USB drives are going the way of the dinosaur... as did floppies, VHS and cassette tapes. Technology changes and degrades over time, but photographic prints are forever. Prints are touchable, visual memories. Prints are stories waiting to be told and retold, again and again, becoming part of your family's legacy.

That said, I love sharing online too! That's why every product purchase includes web ready digital files. So you can share to your hearts delight, as well as have pages to leaf through with your children, and one day, even with your grandchildren!

We’re just too busy! I’ll have photos done next year

In a year, will you remember what your children are obsessed with today? Will their crazy hair be the same? Will that toothless grin still be toothless? A LOT changes in a year, except for one thing... you will still be busy. That's why a documentary session is the perfect fit. There is no special planning, nothing extra to add to your already hectic, amazing life. It's as easy as having a friend over for coffee.

My house is a mess/My kids won’t behave/I need to lose x lbs/I’m not photogenic

I'm lumping these all together for a reason... that being, they're all the same thing. Your house, your kids, and you are all amazing, something to be proud of, and something to celebrate by telling your story in photographs.

I'm sure you're familiar with this poem:

"The cleaning and scrubbing will wait till tomorrow,
for children grow up, as I've learned to my sorrow.
So quiet down, cobwebs. Dust go to sleep.
I'm rocking my baby and babies don't keep"

Children grow, families change, and memories fade. Documentary sessions capture the essence of your life, where you are and what you're doing in this moment. Be proud of the work you're doing, the amazing little people you're raising and the wonderful things you are accomplishing. I promise you will never regret it.

If you're curious about documentary photography, and how it could fit your family, shoot me an email! I'd love get together and chat!
